The students of Nirmala Convent School in the western UP town of Bulandshahr have taken up the Clean India Green India cause with great enthusiasm. After hundreds of students took a Clean Indian Green India pledge earlier this month, the school principal Sister Daisy decided that it’s not going to be a one off affair. She has now decided that entire school will take up Clean India Green India pledge at least twice a week.
The school has also planted trees in its campus as part of the Clean Indian Green India programme.
Not satisfied to sit and rest there the school went a step further by giving a wake up call the residents of Bulandshahr. Sister Daisy led a rally of school students throughout the city spreading our Clean India Green India message.
“This is really heartening to see how enthusiastically Nirmala Convent students participated in the city rally”, said Vijay Rana, the founder of Clean India Green India campaign, “This gives us hope that the future citizens of India want to live in a clean and green city. And I am really happy that the students of my own city have taken the first step in this major national initiative.”
