The summit saw a passionate keynote speech from Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.
Addressing the summit Archbishop Tutu said: "Although you might not be aware of it, you are fantastic, amazing creatures. One day you and I and all of us will wake up to the fact that we are actually all family. God sees all of you and at One Young World God begins to smile.”
India had a big representation at the One Young World as more than 60 delegates came to participate in the Zurich summit. They were hugely talented, highly motivated and socially responsible young people. Many of them would be the future leaders of the country that is rising fast despite its huge problems.
As one of them, Anshul Tiwari, said they had come to One Young World to 'collaborate, create and change'. In a specially organised India roundtable they spoke to Vijay Rana, the editor of NRIfm.com, passionately talking about their vision for India.
