Lata Mangeshkar remembers Bollywood's greatest Hindi poet Pt. Narendra Sharma and talks about her early life |
Hindi poet Pt Narendra Sharma fought for
India's independence and then went to Mumbai to
 write
some of the most memorable songs. Not many of us know that when Lata
Mangeshkar was struggling in her early days, Pt Narendra Sharma
stood behind her like a rock and the legendary singer always treated
him like her father. Pt Narendra Sharma's daughter Lavanya Shah was
of Lata's age and they spent a lot of time together. Many years
later Lavanya Shah interviewed Lata on a US radio station both
remembering good old days. A memorable interview that gives a rare
insight to Lata Mangeshkar's early life.
