Atul Kochar,
Britain's first Michelin Star Indian chef had another
spectacular success when he eliminated one of the UK's top
chefs Garry Rhodes in a nationally televised BBC competition
to create the Great British Menu for Queen Elizabeth's 80th
birthday banquet. The owner of the prestigious Benares
restaurant will now fight against Britain's seven top chefs in
the final round. The winners will be decided by public vote.
Proud of his Indian roots Atul produced a winning menu
consisting of Tandoori chicken, mah ki daal, Peshawari naan, ginger and coconut sauce, kulfi and Bengali bhappa doi.
